About Our Dance Club

Born from a rebellion against generic nightlife templates, our club materialized in 2019 as a sensory sanctuary where beats, bodies, and bold aesthetics collide. What began as a rogue collective of sound designers, choreographers, and lighting engineers tinkering in a 5,200-square-foot industrial shell has evolved into a cultural nexus—a place where Berlin’s underground ethos merges with Tokyo’s neon pulse.

We exist not just to host parties, but to architect moments: think Funktion-One sound systems calibrated to 0.1ms precision, motion-reactive LED floors mapping footwork in real time, and scent diffusers programmed to release bergamot during house crescendos. Here, the mission isn’t static—it’s a living manifesto etched into every vinyl crackle and laser beam, rooted in dismantling barriers between artist and audience, novice and pro, physical and digital realms. This isn’t merely a venue; it’s a blueprint for how movement and music will intersect in 2030.

Our Story and Mission

Founded in 2018, the club emerged from a collective desire to redefine social dancing as a fusion of artistry, technology, and community. Its inception stemmed from late-night conversations between co-founders Alex Rivera and Lena Voss, who identified a gap in urban nightlife: spaces prioritizing technical sound precision, inclusive environments, and cross-genre musical experimentation. Initially a pop-up event series in abandoned warehouses, the club transitioned to its permanent 4,500-square-foot venue in 2021 after viral traction on TikTok and Instagram.

The mission centers on dismantling elitism in club culture through three pillars: accessibility (free beginner dance workshops), innovation (AI-driven lighting synced to real-time audio analysis), and curation (bookings spanning underground electronic producers, Balkan brass bands, and experimental hip-hop collectives). By 2025, the club aims to launch a residency program for emerging DJs and expand its hybrid VR/IRL event format, blending physical dance floors with metaverse avatars.

Meet the Team

The club’s operations are driven by a multidisciplinary team blending nightlife veterans, tech engineers, and performance artists:

Alex Rivera (Co-Founder)

Background : Former audio engineer for Coachella’s underground stages.
Quote : “Dance isn’t about steps—it’s about surrendering to frequencies that rewrite your heartbeat.”

Lena Voss (Co-Founder)

Background : Choreographer for Burning Man’s kinetic installations.
Quote : “We’re not selling drinks; we’re selling the alchemy of movement and light.”

DJ Sera Lin (Resident Selector)

Background : Pioneered glitch-hop remixes for Berlin Atonal festivals.
Quote : “My sets are sonic puzzles—every drop is a question, every build-up a breath.”

Miguel Torres (Head Instructor)

Background : Former salsa champion turned queer ballroom advocate.
Quote : “Tango taught me control; voguing taught me rebellion. Both live here.”

Team photos feature candid shots: Rivera adjusting modular synth racks, Voss sketching stage designs on napkins, Lin mid-scratch at the booth, and Torres leading a wheelchair-accessible dance class.

Club Atmosphere and Vibe

The venue’s design merges industrial brutalism with biophilic textures: exposed concrete walls contrast with living moss panels, while 3D-printed resin chandeliers mimic fractal patterns. Acoustic treatment uses recycled denim insulation to minimize reverberation without sacrificing warmth.

Sound System :

Dual L-Acoustics K2 arrays (136dB peak output) with subwoofers embedded in the floor, creating tactile vibrations felt in the chest cavity. Frequencies below 80Hz trigger haptic panels under VIP booth seating.

Lighting :

64-channel DMX rig with LED battens programmed via Resolume Arena. Algorithms map color palettes to BPM: trap nights pulse crimson and UV, while ambient sessions bathe the room indigo gradients.

Weekday vs. Weekend Energy :

Tuesdays host “Chillwave,” with downtempo lo-fi beats and projection-mapped visuals of fluid dynamics. Saturdays’ “Neon Rave” transforms the space into a strobe-lit vortex with pyrotechnics synced to EDM drops.

The olfactory signature—custom-blended by perfumer Clara Núñez—shifts hourly: juniper smoke at 10 PM, ozone-like freshness post-midnight, and bergamot-tinged warmth pre-close. This multisensory orchestration ensures no two visits feel identical, optimizing shareability for social media audiences.

Dance Experiences

Step into a realm where rhythm collides with individuality, and every night pulses with unscripted energy. Our club isn’t just a venue—it’s a living, breathing ecosystem of movement, sound, and connection. Designed for the rhythmically curious, the socially adventurous, and the musically obsessed, we craft experiences that transcend generic nightlife. From the hypnotic throb of underground techno to the jubilant chaos of retro dance-offs, our calendar thrives on diversity, ensuring no two nights feel alike.

Dance Experiences

Whether you’re mastering footwork in a beginner’s class, losing yourself in a themed spectacle under avant-garde lighting, or tailoring a private celebration with bespoke AV tech, this space adapts to your vision. We prioritize raw, unfiltered moments over polished perfection—think vinyl crackles, spontaneous dance circles, and the kind of crowd where strangers become collaborators by midnight. Here, the music isn’t played; it’s felt , the walls hum with stories, and every visit etches a memory worth sharing.

This isn’t just a club—it’s a pulsating ecosystem of sonic innovation, where every beat, scratch, and drop is amplified by precision-engineered gear and curated artistry. Music and Entertainment

Dive into the mechanics of the booth, the legends who’ve spun here, and the kaleidoscope of genres that keep the floor packed from opener to last call.

Live DJ Performances

The club’s DJ booth is engineered to deliver elite audio experiences. Resident DJs command dual Pioneer CDJ-3000 turntables paired with Allen & Heath Xone:96 mixers, ensuring seamless transitions and precise sound manipulation. These tools empower performers to layer analog warmth with digital precision, creating immersive auditory landscapes. Weekly residencies feature genre-blending sets: Alex Vortex merges deep house grooves with glitch-hop experimentation, while Luna Wave specializes in progressive techno builds that escalate crowd energy. Guest DJs like Berlin-based minimal techno innovator Kai Struve or Brooklyn’s soul-infused house curator DJ Solace bring global flair, their technical prowess amplified by the venue’s Funktion-One sound system.

Technical specifications are not mere vanity metrics. The booth’s Rane SL4 Serato controllers and Denon DN-HC4500 direct-drive decks cater to scratch virtuosos and hybrid vinyl-digital performers. This infrastructure attracts advanced hobbyists and professionals seeking tactile control. Biweekly “Battle Nights” showcase local talents, where competitors duel using identical Rekordbox-stemmed tracks, judged on rhythmic complexity and harmonic mixing. The result? A rotating roster of underground stars and established names, all validated by the club’s hardware credibility.

Featured Artists and Guests

The venue has hosted acts spanning underground legends to Billboard-charting producers:

Carl Cox (2023 New Year’s Eve): Closed his set with a rare vinyl-only techno marathon using three CDJs.

Nina Kraviz (2022 Summer Solstice): Delivered a hypnotic live PA performance integrating modular synths and vocal loops.

Major Lazer (2021 Halloween Bash): Transformed the main stage into a LED-lit Caribbean rave with surprise guest Vybz Kartel.

Upcoming 2024 highlights include Disclosure’s Energy Reimagined tour (March) and Peggy Gou’s debut in the club’s intimate “Black Box” room (September). Artist collaborations extend beyond DJ sets: visual jockey collective ChromaStream projects generative art synced to BPMs, while live vocalists like Yolanda Heredia improvise over electronic backdrops. Past performers’ Spotify links and discography highlights are embedded in a dynamic grid on the website, optimized for searches like “electronic music festivals lineup” and “EDM guest appearances.”

Music Genres We Play

The club’s sonic identity rejects rigid categorization but maintains curated focus:

House : From Chicago four-on-the-floor classics (Frankie Knuckles tributes) to UK garage-influenced UKF subgenres.

Techno : Divided into Berghain-style industrial (Friday nights) and Detroit futurist (Saturday late-stage sets).

Afrobeat & Amapiano : Monthly “Sun Daata” nights blend West African polyrhythms with South African log drum patterns.

Drum & Bass : Renowned for 170 BPM “Liquid & Neuro” dual-room events, featuring drum soloists alongside DJs.

Disco & Nu-Disco : Revived via vinyl-only sets on Sunday afternoons, with guest selectors like Horse Meat Disco.

Genre boundaries dissolve during “Wildcard Wednesdays,” where residents fuse disparate styles—recent examples include Balkan brass band samples over trap beats or Bollywood vocals chopped into glitch edits. This diversity appeals to cross-genre enthusiasts searching for “genre-fluid clubs” or “multicultural dance music venues.” Each Friday’s “Genre Deep Dive” focuses on a single style: February’s “French Electroclash Retrospective” featured Justice remixes and vintage Kavinsky projections.

Community and Social

The club is a dynamic environment where rhythm and connection meet. Beyond the pounding rhythms and tailored playlists, it’s about connections built beneath neon lights and shared memories. Stories are spoken on the dance floor, where strangers become friends, professionals meet colleagues, and introverts find their tribe. Residents say they are drawn back week after week for the music and the implicit kinship that spans language, age, and culture.

Community and Social

Every stride, spin, or swing breaks down boundaries and develops connections in an inclusive community. Their diversity, energy, and commitment to a culture that celebrates self-expression make the club tick. The community brings the venue to life with spontaneous dancing circles and collaborative activities, creating lasting friendships. This is a movement, a communal beat that lasts long after the night ends.

Dance Community

The club’s foundation lies in cultivating a vibrant dance club community where connections transcend fleeting moments. Regulars describe the space as a sanctuary for self-expression, where strangers evolve into friends through shared rhythms. Maria, a weekly attendee from Berlin, recounts meeting her future business partner during a salsa night, emphasizing how the club’s friendly party atmosphere bridges professional and personal worlds.

Similarly, Tom from Tokyo credits the venue for reigniting his passion for ballroom dancing after years of hesitation, highlighting the inclusivity that welcomes novices and seasoned dancers alike. The dance floor serves as a neutral ground where cultural barriers dissolve, fostering bonds that extend beyond the club’s walls. Monthly meetups and collaborative choreography sessions amplify this sense of belonging, reinforcing the club’s role as a catalyst for lifelong relationships.
